Doctor’s clinic sealed

NEW DELHI: Delhi gynaecologist Mangala Telang, who was allegedly caught on camera recently violating the Pre-natal Diagnostic Techniques (Regulation and Prevention of Misuse) Act that prohibits sex determination and abortion, “is out of the country”, according to her office.

Acting on information that the physician had helped a couple determine the sex of their foetus, the Union Health And Family Welfare Ministry’s PNDT Department has sealed her two clinics on Siri Fort Road here and in neighbouring Noida. When contacted, an employee at Dr. Telang’s office said “the physician is out of the country.”
