Workshop on biodiversity

PUDUCHERRY: The Department of Plant Science, Kanchi Mamunivar Centre for Post Graduate Studies (KMCPGS), is conducting a workshop on biodiversity for NSS programme officers of schools and colleges at Vivekananda College of Education at Sellaperumalpet, Lawspet, on Saturday and Sunday.

According to a press release from M.P. Ramanujam, organising secretary, the meet discusses the different roles of living organisms and explains the current status of conservation initiatives.

The workshop, which is supported by the National Bio-Diversity Authority, would be inaugurated at 10 am, the release said.
