NAMAKKAL: Principal District Judge A. Rathinavel on Friday sentenced a couple to life imprisonment for their involvement in a murder case. According to the prosecution, Chinnakali of R. Puthupatti stabbed his neighbour Kannan (40) to death in March 2006 following previous enmity between them. Namakiripet police arrested Chinnakali and his wife Rathinam for their involvement in the murder.

The judge, after hearing the arguments, sentenced the couple to life imprisonment.
