THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Health Minister P.K. Sreemathy welcomed the High Court directive to the government doctors on Friday that they should end their stir. The Minister recalled that the government had asked the Kerala Government Medical Officers Association (KGMOA) to withdraw their agitation and come forward for talks. However, the strike got prolonged on account of the adamant stand of the KGMOA. The agitation caused much hardship to the people, especially the poor. Ms. Sreemathy added that the government had always adopted a lenient attitude towards the demands of the doctors. – Special Correspondent
