School student drowns

TAMBARAM: A 15-year-old boy drowned while playing in the sea off the Palavakkam coast on Wednesday.

Neelankarai police identified the victim as H.Vimalraj, a Standard IX student at a government school in Tondiarpet. Son of Henry Paul and Kumari, he had come to a church in Palavakkam on Wednesday evening. The family lived in Tondiarpet. The boy’s body was washed ashore in Panaiyurkuppam.
