Inter-college hotel management fest

Manipal: The Welcomgroup Graduate School of Hotel Administration (WGSHA) will organise its annual inter-collegiate hotel management fest, “WGSHA Quest 2007”, here on December 10 and 11.

In a press release here, event’s co-ordinator Y.G. Tharakan said the top catering colleges had been short listed for participating in various competitions in this fest. They include Rizvi College of Hotel Management, Mumbai; M.S. Ramaiah College of Hotel Management, Bangalore; Christ College, Bangalore; Culinary Academy of India, Hyderabad; PES College of Hotel Management, Bangalore; Anjuman Islam College of Hotel Management, Mumbai; SRM College of Hotel Management, Chennai; Vels Institute of Hotel Management, Chennai; Jennys Academy of Hotel Management, Thiruchirapalli; and Naipunya College of Hospitality Sciences, Kerala.

Food items, vegetable carvings, non-edible centre pieces and so on will be on display at 7 p.m. on December 11. The Pro-Chancellor of Manipal University, H.S. Ballal, will inaugurate the fest.

Cyrus Madan, general manager of Lemontree Hotels, New Delhi, will be the chief guest at the valedictory function.
