Corrections and clarifications

* * The third paragraph in a report “Fertilizer outlets’ licences suspended” (Tamil Nadu edition – Madurai, December 6, 2007, page 3) was: “Official sources said that the suspension of licence was in accordance with the Fertilizer (Control) Order, 1985, and Pesticide Control Act, 1965. Unaccounted stock of potash weighing two tonnes and 130 litres of pesticides which were stocked well after the expiry date, were seized during the raid.” “Pesticide Control Act, 1965” should have been the Insecticides Act, 1968 (Act No.46 of 1968), which is an Act to regulate the import, manufacture, sale, transport, distribution and use of insecticides.
