Parekh enters final

HYDERABAD: S. Parekh of Maharashtra entered the 65 years & above singles final with a 6-3, 6-1 win over C.B. Raju (AP) in the 12th GVK-AISTA seniors (veterans’) National tennis championship at the SAAP Tennis Complex here.

The results (Semifinals): 45 years & above: S. Narendranath bt Yogesh Shah (Guj) 6-0, 6-0; V. Shankar (Dli) bt R.E. Sudarshan Rao 7-6(2), 6-7(8), 6-2. Doubles: V.T. Ranganath / Sethu bt Mehar Prakash / Puneet Gupta 6-3, 6-2. 55 years & above: Arvind Chatwal (Dli) bt K. Radhakrishna Murthy 3-6, 6-2, 6-2; V. Ram Mohan Rao bt Pushparaj (Kar) 6-4, 6-4. Doubles: M.M.
