Thiruvananthapuram scores a big win
KOTTAYAM: Thiruvananthapuram ended its campaign on a wining note in the South Zone under-13 inter-district cricket tournament at the MG University Stadium here on Friday.
Thiruvananthapuram scored a 119-run win over host Kottayam to record its third consecutive win in the league.
In another match at St. Ephrem’s School ground, Kollam defeated Pathanamthitta by five wickets.
The scores: Thiruvananthapuram 207 for four in 35 overs (Rahul Raghavan 54, Akhil Das 47 not out, Vinayak Murthy 41) bt Kottayam 88 in 19.4 overs (Syed Ali 48, Biju Vijayan four for 28).
Pathanamthitta 127 in 34 overs (Mohammed Ansal three for 24, Ananthu R. Soman three for 37) lost to Kollam 131 for five in 21.3 overs (Amal S. Kannan 46, Mohmaeed Ansal 40).
