Vengsarkar to meet Pawar
Mumbai: Chief selector Dilip Vengsarkar would be able to watch the third and deciding Test match between India and Pakistan starting on Saturday at Bangalore on all five days.
This follows the rescheduling of his meeting with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) chief Sharad Pawar to next week. “Vengsarkar is expected to meet Pawar next week, and it is likely to be on the 14th (December),” sources close to Vengsarkar said on Friday.
Vengsarkar attended the last selection committee meeting on Wednesday in Bangalore. .
Next week’s meeting between the former cricketer and the Union Minister, originally scheduled for this weekend, is to take place before the BCCI’s Finance Committee meeting on December 14.
The Special General Meeting and Working Committee meeting, is to take place on the 16th, as per current indications. — PTI
