No kidding: A woman activist of the TDP, along with her child, participating in a dharna organised by the party at the Collectorate in Visakhapatnam on Friday. — VIZIANAGARAM: The Telugu Desam Party, district committee on Friday took out a rally from party office to the Collectorate and staged a dharna demanding that the Government recover the Rs. 539 crores siphoned off, as mentioned by Comptroller and Auditor General, by contractors and deposit the amount in Treasury. Party district president Y.Ramana Murty, MLAs Padala Aruna and P. Narayana Swamy Naidu, former member of Lok Sabha D.V.G. Sankar Rao and many other leaders participated in the protest. Mr. Narayana Swamy demanded appointment of a House Committee to go into the details and clear charges of corruption against Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy, Chief Minister, and his Ministers. Former Government Whip S.V.Ch. Appala Naidu said contractors were given free hand. Later, they submitted a memorandum to in-charge Collector M. Jagan Mohan. Memo submittedSrikakulam: TDP leaders who included Kinjarapu Acheyya Naidu, Kimidi Kalavenkata Rao and Kambala Jogulu, all MLAs and former Minister Gunda Applasuryanarayna staged a dharna at the collectorate here to expose the alleged ‘rampant corrution’ of the Congress Government. Later they submitted a memorandum at the collectorate.
