Bhopal: Gautam, a five-year-young royal Bengal tiger suffering from bebesiosis disease for the past one week, died in the Van Vihar National Park here on Thursday night. The disease was detected only two days ago but Gautam had stopped taking food for quite some time, Van Vihar director J. Chouhan said, adding that other tigers housed there would be examined if they had been infected with the same disease. Gautam is the fifth tiger to die in the Van Vihar Park this year. Three out of them died in their prime. Gautam was born in Ratpani sanctuary and was brought to Van Vihar three gears ago. He was kept in a new tiger housing along with five other tigers.
