TD lays siege to collectorate

MAHABUBNAGAR: The Telugu Desam Party workers and leaders laid siege to the Collectorate office here on Friday. Activists led by TDLP deputy leader, Nagam Janardhan Reddy demanded probe into alleged corruption in the ongoing ‘Jala Yagnam’ programme. A huge rally was taken out from the Town Hall grounds to Collectorate . MLC Revanth Reddy burnt the effigy of the government. Traffic was diverted at various junctions. Lashing at YSR government the TDP leaders alleged that the Congress party would bite the dust in the coming Assembly elections. They alleged that there was large scale corruption and irregularities in the ongoing irrigation projects.
