Kathakar addresses issues through dance and music

For a cause: College students presenting a dance programme under the banner of ‘Kathakar’ to create awareness on cleanliness in Bangalore on Friday.
Bangalore: Kathakar is a small group of young men and women, which wants to bring positive change in society.
And taking on the most relevant issue for today, Kathakar held a conference on global warming, water management and environmental changes, in the city on Friday.
The conference, Kathakar hopes, “will be the beginning of a movement to create awareness among the people about the urgent changes that are needed to save mankind and earth from the gloomy picture we face.”
Movement
To carry the movement further, Kathakar will on Saturday begin a campaign to clean up the streets of the city – having roped in no fewer than 200 students for the task.
The students will meet at the Mahila Seva Samaj at 9 a.m.
Awareness
Kathakar addresses issues and creates awareness through dance, music, photography and art.
