Swamy to address Tehran meet

CHENNAI: Janata Party president Subramanian Swamy has been invited by Iran to address the UNDP-Regional Conference to be held on December 17 and 18.

A party release said the programme has been organised by the faculty of Law at Shahid Beheshti University in Tehran. Dr. Swamy will speak on “Rules of law and enforcement of citizens’ rights: The case of India.”

This is Dr. Swamy’s second visit to Iran. In January 2003, he made a visit on an invitation from the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the release said.
