Jayavardhan hits century

VIJAYAWADA: Jayavardhan’s 109 helped South Zone ‘A’ register 304 in 84 overs against Central Zone ‘B’ in the two-day ACA under-13 inter-zonal cricket tournament for the D. Venkateswara Rao-D. Haranadha Baba Memorial Trophy at Guntur on Friday.

The scores:

South ‘A’ 304 in 84 overs (Jayavardhan 109, Abdul Haq 79, K. Bhima Rao four for 99) vs. Central ‘B’ 14 for one in six overs.

Central ‘A’ 169 in 78 overs (Srikrishna 52, Ch. Jeetendhra 43, Naren Reddy three for 13, C. Bose three for 30) vs. South ‘B’ 60 for four in 15 overs (V. Mahesh three for 18).

ASR XI post wins

Alluri Seetharama Raju XI and Kattamalli XI defeated RLCC and Venky CC respectively in the KDCA ‘B’ division league cricket tournament for the Devineni Venkataramana-Praneetha Memorial Trophy here on Friday.

The scores:

Alluri Seetarama Raju XI 100 in 25.4 overs (Kishore four for 11) bt RLCC 75 in 19.2 overs (Somasekhar four for 31).

Kattamalli XI 201 in 36 overs (Jayashankar 43, Srinivas three for 43) bt Venky CC 107 in 21.1 overs (K. Srinu five for 29).

Ramesh XI 145 in 28.5 overs (Mohan 46, Chanti four for 31, Bhaskar three for 35) lost to Young Stars 146 for six in 21.2 overs (Raj 52, Joji 50, Lokesh three for 34).

Big win for ALC

Andhra Loyola College scored a 8-2 victory over Acharya Nagarjuna University, while Nalgonda Medical College defeated IGMC by 2-1 in the three-day invitational football tournament, organised by the Vijayawada Football Association, here on Friday.

KCP Siddhartha Adarsh Residential PS bt Care and Share ‘A’ 3-0.
