Simhachalam roars past Pathak

HYDERABAD: Seasoned campaigner S. Simhachalam of Indian Railways notched up an impressive 638-188 win over V. Pathak of Delhi in the 74th Seaway Group-sponsored senior National billiards championship which began at KBVR indoor stadium here on Friday.

A veteran of many a battle, Simhachalam provided an object lesson in combining class and precision for the few youngsters who watched the proceedings.

For the cueists, the sight of eight-time world champion Geet Sethi and some of his incredible ‘trick shots’ to mark the inauguration seemed to be the right inspiration.
