VISAKHAPATNAM: Rahul Dewan scored an unbeaten 200 (31x4) and with a couple of century partnerships, helped Delhi rally well and also gain the first innings lead over Hyderabad in a quarterfinal match of the all-India under-22 cricket tournament for the Col. C.K. Nayudu Trophy here on Friday. Delhi was 52 for three at close on Thursday in reply to Hyderabad’s 263 and the overnight batsmen Rahul and Shawaz Khan (68, 8x4, 2x6) added 142 runs for the fourth wicket. Rahul went on to add 105 for the next wicket with Ankur Julka (30, 3x4). The scores: Hyderabad 263 vs. Delhi 374 for five in 112 overs (Rahul Dewan 200 batting, Shawaz Khan 68). Uttar Pradesh 346 in 95 overs (Ashish Yadav 112 not out, Ekalavya Dwivedi 50, Prasanth Gupta 46) and 119 for six in 39 overs (Arjun Shetty four for 37) vs. Karnataka 142 in 43.3 overs (C.M. Gautham 53, Bhasant Awasthi four for 24). Maharashtra 305 in 100.5 overs (Amey Shikhande 104, Sangram Atitker 45) vs. Bengal 146 for two in 80 overs (P. Dutta 67 batting, Anand Ghosh 46 batting).
