Water level

MADURAI: The water level in the Periyar dam on Friday stood at 128.80 feet (136 feet) with an inflow of 498 cusecs and a discharge of 1,632 cusecs. The level in the Vaigai dam was 58.89 feet (71 feet) with an inflow of 1,334 cusecs and a discharge of 1,091 cusecs. The combined Periyar credit stood at 6,835 mcft.

Marudhanadi recorded 5 mm of rainfall followed by Shanmuganadi and Mettupatti 2 mm each, Gudalur 1.6, Sattaiyar dam, Tekkadi and Pulipatti 1 mm each.
