Man arrested on forgery charge

KOCHI: The Ernakulam Crime Branch CID Special Investigation Group – II on Thursday arrested one person on the charge of forging seals and certificates.

The accused was identified as Babuchan Basha, 42, of Thiruvananthapuram. The SIG-II, led by Superintendent of Police P.H. Ashraf and DySP C.K. Ramachandran, arrested the accused from Kamaleswaram, Muttathara, in Thiruvananthapuram.

The police seized 50 forged seals that included seals of the Embassy of India, Riyadh; Department of Income Tax, Government of India and State Bank of India.
