Sri Lankan national arrested

BANGALORE: Immigration officials at the HAL airport here on Thursday apprehended a Sri Lankan national who was trying to board a flight to the U.K. on a fake passport and visa.

The police said that in the early hours of Thursday, Vigneswaran (28) was found possessing a fake Spanish passport and visa. He was about to board a British Airways flight to London. On a complaint by the Immigration officials, the Airport police registered a case and arrested Vigneswaran who had reportedly procured the passport and visa from an agent in Chennai.
