Plea for new rail line

MALAPPURAM: The Kondotty Town ‘pourasamiti’ sought a new rail line linking Feroke with Nilambur. A meeting of the ‘pourasamiti’ held at Kondotty on Friday pointed out that this rail link would smoothen traffic to places like Calicut University, Calicut International Airport, Haj House and tourist spots of Malappuram. Pourasamiti president Kallungal Basheer chaired the meeting. —Staff Reporter
