PATHANAMTHITTA: Vodafone Essar, a prominent private cellular service provider in India, has increased facilities for prepaid recharge at retail outlets en route to Sabarimala as part of its efforts to provide special services to Sabarimala pilgrims during the Mandalam-Makaravilakku festival, company’s chief operating officer K. Sankaranarayanan has said. In a statement issued here on Saturday, Mr. Sankaranarayanan said arrangements had also been made for post-paid subscribers from other States to make their bill payments at Vodafone Stores and mini stores across the State. According to him, Vodafone has added new ‘cellular sites’ on the way to Sabarimala to provide better connectivity to pilgrims, in addition to a unique one on wheels at Nilackal. Battery chargers have also been installed at various points, he added.
