KOCHI: UAE Exchange & Finance Limited has become a Depository Participant (DP) with the Central Depository Services (India) Limited. This facilitates UAE Exchange to open demat accounts for its customers. Demat accounts can be opened and operated by the public just like a bank account for holding stock of shares purchased. Customers who have demat accounts with the company will be additionally offered internet trading facility, a press release said. UAE Exchange, as a DP, will provide periodic account statements which can be downloaded by customers from a website. Customers who have opened their demat accounts with UAE Exchange can trade in the NSE through online e-trading facility, X-trade, provided by the company. The UAE Exchange group has operations in 16 countries. UAE Exchange Centre LLC, Abu Dhabi, is one of the largest institutions in the Middle East offering money transfer and money exchange services globally. The company is a member of the National Stock Exchange of India and ensures strict adherence to all SEBI and NSE guidelines. UAE Exchange commenced its operation in the year 1999 in India.
