KOCHI: The German-Indian Business Centre (GIBC), Hannover, Germany, is offering support to Indian companies intending to expand to European market. Founder of GIBC Wolfgang Hoeltgen said at a lecture meeting organised by the Kerala Management Association that the organisation would provide services for start-ups or expansion of business activities in Europe in general and Hannover in particular. GIBC is located at the Technology Centre, Hannover, which is home to high-tech companies from a wide range of business sectors. Indian companies would benefit from the ‘Plug & Work’ start-up and relocation initiative, he said. Niedersachsen is a place known for companies like Volkswagen. The Hannover region boasts around 1200 IT companies with 23,000 employees. CeBIT, the world’s leading IT trade fair, makes Hannover one of the top market place for digital business. Hannover IT e.V., a partner of GIBC, is a leading high tech network provider in the region. It gives Indian companies access to a unique information and communication technology network. P. Ravindranath, president of KMA, S.R.Nair, convenor of KMA CEO Forum and K.N.Sastry, honorary secretary, KMA, spoke.
