‘Voters will teach a lesson to Kumaraswamy’

Special Correspondent

SHIKARIPUR: Former Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa said here on Saturday that voters would teach a lesson to former Chief Minister and Janata Dal (S) leader H.D. Kumaraswamy in the coming Assembly elections for withdrawing support to the coalition Government led by the BJP after agreeing to do so.

Addressing a public meeting as part of the “Jana Jagruthi” programme launched by his party, he accused the Congress and the Janata Dal (S) for pursuing “anti-people” policies.

Actor Shruthi said there was no need to highlight the achievements of Mr. Yeddyurappa at a public meeting when people were appreciative of them.

Film director Mahendar, president of the State BJP Women’s Morcha Bharathi Shetty and A.S. Padmanabh Bhat were among those present. Several JD(S) and Congress workers of Sorab taluk led by Jayasheel Gowda and Keerthi Gowda and Chikkavali Nagaraj Gowda joined the BJP on the occasion.
