Talkatora Stadium to get new block

NEW DELHI: Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit laid the foundation stone of the Sports Facility Block at Talkatora Indoor Stadium here on Saturday.

The stadium has been chosen as a competition venue for the boxing event during the Commonwealth Games-2010. The Sports Facility Block will have five storeys along with two basements having parking facility for 330 and 220 cars. The Rs.104-crore project is to be completed in 18 months.
