ZP officials accused of non-cooperation

They did not get action plan approved


CHAMARAJANAGAR: Taluk panchayat members here have accused zilla panchayat officials of not cooperating in implementing developmental works in accordance with the D.M. Nanjundappa committee report on redressal of regional imbalances.

Speaking at a meeting of the taluk panchayat here on Saturday, the members said that the officials of the zilla panchayat were not cooperating in getting the action plan sent to the zilla panchayat approved.

The action plan is for provision of basic amenities in the taluk.

The members also urged the president of the taluk panchayat to hold meetings on time.

Executive officer of the taluk panchayat Chandrashekaraiah said that the officials should be present on all second Saturdays.

The president of the taluk panchayat Shailaja Paswan presided over the meeting.
