Hassan
HASSAN: The Hassan division of the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation is operating 15 additional buses between Hassan and Dharmasthala for Karthika Laksha Deepotsava, Divisional Controller B.C. Ganganna Gowda has said. Speaking to The Hindu here on Saturday, he said the Mangalore division was also operating 60 additional buses between Hassan and Dharmasthala. This was in addition to buses being operated from Bangalore to Dharmasthala, via Hassan. 100 tripsAs many as 100 trips were being made between the two places — 48 during the day and 52 during the night. BanMr. Gowda said that following the ban on the movement of vehicles on the Shiradi Ghat road, buses to Dharmasthala and Mangalore were being diverted via Sakleshpur, Hanabalu and Mudigere. This would result in passengers having to travel an extra 24 km. Bus standHe said 40 buses were being operated every day between Hassan and Sakleshpur. Work was in full swing on the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation bus stand coming up in Channapatna, Hassan.
