12 injured in jail clash
Ara (Bihar): Twelve inmates of the divisional jail here, the headquarters of Bihar’s Bhojpur district, were injured in a clash between supporters of rival caste armies on Saturday.
Jail Superintendent Ghanshyam Ram said supporters of Neelnidhi Singh, a hardcore member of the banned Ranvir Sena, a private militia of upper caste land owners, and Manjit Singh leader of rival caste army Kuer Sena, clashed with sticks resulting in injury to 12 inmates. The injured have been admitted to jail hospital, he said adding there was no serious injury to anyone. PTI
