Adopt even standards: Jaitley
AHMEDABAD: Bharatiya Janata Party general secretary Arun Jaitley on Saturday said the controversial remark by Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi on December 4 was a political response to the allegations against him.
He urged the Election Commission to adopt “even standards” and issue notices to Congress president Sonia Gandhi and party general secretary Digvijay Singh also.
The BJP has complained to the EC against Ms. Gandhi’s statement reportedly referring to Mr. Modi as ‘maut ke saudagar’ and against Mr. Singh’s remark that there was “Hindu terrorism” in Gujarat. — PTI
