COLOMBO: The Sri Lankan Supreme Court on Friday granted permission to proceed with the fundamental rights violation petition filed by the Ceylon Workers’ Congress (CWC) against the alleged mass arrest of Tamils and said it would detail a mechanism for future arrests and mechanisms. The Bench was hearing the petition on the alleged arbitrary and indiscriminate arrests after the November 28 parcel bomb blast which killed 19 persons.
