THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: KPCC president Ramesh Chennithala said here on Saturday that the government administration in Kerala was facing a total collapse due to mismanagement and inefficiency. Inaugurating a leadership camp organised by the District Congress Committee, he said the rift between the Finance Minister and the Planning Board Vice-Chairman had affected the implementation of Plan projects. He accused the Finance Minister of choking the functioning of other departments by holding back financial approval for projects. “The growing rivalry within the CPI(M) threatens to affect the common man”. He said the government had failed to take steps to resolve the shortage of aravana for pilgrims at Sabarimala. Mr. Chennithala said Food Minister C. Divakaran had insulted the people of Kerala by exhorting them to substitute rice as the staple diet with milk and eggs. He exhorted Congress workers to stand united to face challenges. UDF convenor P.P. Thankachan, Congress leaders Mullappally Ramachandran, G. Karthikeyan, N. Sakthan, Varkala Kahar, M.A. Vahid, K. Mohankumar and Pandalam Sudhakaran addressed the camp.
