Economics journal released

CHENNAI: The Loyola Economics Association’s annual journal on economic thought ‘Oikonomikos’ was released here on Thursday.
Released by the Joint Editor of The Hindu Business Line K. Venugopal, it serves as a forum for an academic discussion on economic theory and issues concerning political economy with a special reference to peninsular India.
Mr. Venugopal highlighted the current state of the economy through a presentation titled ‘The challenges of being on a high.’ Head of Economics Department of the college A. Joseph Jeyapaul and patron of ‘Oikonomikos’ said the journal would be published biannually.
