BIDAR: Two persons were killed in a head-on collision between a four-wheeler and a truck on National Highway 9 at Basavkalyan taluk on Sunday. One person died on the spot and the other person died at the hospital. The injured have been shifted to a hospital at Solapur in Maharashtra. Police gave the name of the deceased as Laddeep Singh (32) and Umesh Bombdae, residents of Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra. The Basavkalyan traffic police have registered a case. — Staff Correspondent
