Bangalore: The Pejawar Math seer Sri Vishwesha Theertha swami has said that art can contain terrorism and promote peace and world order. The swami was speaking at a cultural function organised by the U.S. Krishna Rao Memorial Programme Committee and Nirtya Vidya Nilaya here on Sunday. Explaining the role of art in maintaining social harmony, he said any form of art was above parochial considerations. The in-built spiritual prowess of art could heal social and psychological ills, he added. The Chairman of the Administrative Reforms Commission and former Chief Minister M. Veerappa Moily, presided over the function. Several artistes were felicitated on the occasion. — Special Correspondent
