BELLARY: Following heavy loss and mounting debt, Banagar Kotresh, a tamarind trader, consumed poison after he gave it to his three children on Saturday. While three of them died, one child survived and is undergoing treatment in VIMS Hospital. Kotresh was from Boragatta village in Kudligi taluk. According to the police, Kotresh informed them over phone that he was ending his life and also that of his children. Kottur Circle Inspector Harish and other senior officers visited the spot. — Staff Correspondent
