Six sub-stations for Guntur

GUNTUR: Many parts in Guntur and the neighbouring municipalities were plunged into darkness on Monday night. Load-shedding in most parts of the district at unusual times marred the otherwise impressive record of Guntur circle of Southern Power Distribution Company Limited.

The Guntur Circle was adjudged the best among all the circles in the State for its efficiency in plugging the distributory losses and increasing the revenue. The officials also proposed to enhance the capacity of the transformer from 31.5 MvA to 50 MvA. With the demand for power expected to be at its peak the completion of four transmitters of 100 MvA at Tadikonda, situation would improve, a officials said.
