5 killed, 25 injured as truck overturns

HUBLI: Five persons, including a child, were killed and 25 were injured when a tractor in which they were travelling overturned near Boodanagudda Cross in Kalghatgi taluk on Sunday.

According to police, the driver lost control of the tractor . Most of them were returning to Ramanala village.

Dharwad Superintendent of Police B.S. Prakash and Kalghatgi Police Inspector Vijayakumar Bisnalli rushed to the spot. Some of the injured have been admitted to Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences Hospital in Hubli.
