Bangkok: Rahil Gangjee leapfrogged to tied 12th with a late assault for the best finish by an Indian, while fellow S.S.P. Chowrasia joined 2005 champion Shiv Kapur at 19th place at the end of the Volvo Masters of Asia here on Sunday.
Riding on his impressive front nine, Gangjee signed off with a round of three-under 69 to aggregate five-under 283.
Local hero Prayad Marksaeng birdied the 18th hole at the Thai Country Club for three-under 69 to win the $750,000 Asian Tour finale by a shot from overnight leader Juvic Pagunsan and England’s Chris Rodgers, who both bogeyed the closing hole for a 75 and 68 respectively. — PTI
