Killed in accident

TAMBARAM: A 21-year-old youth riding pillion on a motorcycle was killed when it was hit by an unknown vehicle on the Chennai Bypass late on Saturday. The victim, Anand, was riding pillion on a motorcycle along with his friend Rajesh. He was returning home from work when a speeding vehicle hit the motorcycle at Anakaputhur. They fell on the road and sustained head injuries.

They were rushed to a hospital, where Anand was pronounced dead on arrival. Rajesh is receiving treatment.
