India, Slovak bilateral trade well below potential: envoy

CHENNAI: The bilateral trade between India and Slovak Republic is likely to touch $200 million for 2007 from $124 million in 2006. Yet it is well below the potential of both the countries, said Alexander Ilascik, Ambassador of the Slovak Republic.

To boost the trade and investments between two nations, Mr. Ilascik announced the opening of Indo-Slovak Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ISCCI) here on Thursday.

State Planning Commission Vice-Chairman Naganathan inaugurated ISCCI in the presence of A.Chittaranjan Mohandoss Director – Information and Public Relation.
