AP men, TN women clinch titles

VIJAYAWADA: Host Andhra Pradesh men and Tamil Nadu women won the titles in the second South Zone throwball championship, which concluded at the Makineni Basavapunnaiah Stadium here on Sunday.

In the men’s final, AP defeated Tamil Nadu 15-4, 15-12, while Tamil Nadu women outplayed AP 15-8, 15-4 in the title clash.

The results: Men (final): AP bt TN 15-4, 15-12. Semifinals: TN bt Karnataka 15-12, 15-12; AP bt Kerala 15-2, 15-1.

Women (final): TN bt AP 15-8, 15-4. Semifinals: TN bt Goa 15-0, 15-1; AP bt Kerala 15-3, 15-8. — Sports Reporter
