KUCHENAPUDI: Pro-farmer and pro-poor Indiramma rule that began in 2004 after Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy took reins of the State will continue in the years to come, predicted five ministers at this village in Guntur district during a host of programmes on Monday. After inaugurating a 16-bed Primary Health Centre building built at a cost of Rs.32 lakh, laying foundation for a Rs.2 crore 33/11 kv power sub-station, opening Kuchenapudi Market Committee office, four Ministers from Guntur district and Guntur in-charge Minister N. Rajyalakshmi participated in the swearing-in of new Market Committee of Kuchenapudi. The four Ministers from district Kanna Lakshmi Narayana, Murugudu Hanumantha Rao, Kasu Venkata Krishna Reddy and Mopidevi Venkata Ramana went defied Telugu Desam president Nara Chandrababu Naidu and his party’s allegations against the Congress Government. While Kanna Lakshmi Narayana questioned as to why TDP distributed blankets as though the welfare hostels were set up newly by Dr. Reddy, Ms. Rajyalakshmi wanted the villagers to talk to their friends how they benefited out of Government schemes. The whole programme, which looked like an early kicking off of campaign for next general elections, had all the trappings of wooing the villagers to party fold by explaining what they had lost during TDP regime and what the current regime was doing. People gathered from all corners of Kuchenapudi assembly constituency for the programme and expressed their happiness at the inauguration of new Market Committee office here as they would not be forced to go to Repalle anymore for selling their paddy or groundnut. Joint Collector Kantilal Dande and MLCs Rayapati Srinivasa Rao, TGV Krishna Reddy, and Singam Basavapunnaiah also participated.
