Exam forms available till December 20

TIRUCHI: Applications for SSLC, OSLC, Matriculation and Anglo-Indian School Leaving Certificate public examinations are being issued at the offices of the Chief Educational Officer, District Education Officer, besides the Regional Deputy Director of Government Examinations in Tiruchi.
An official press release issued here on Monday said that the application forms will be available till December 20.
Those who had already appeared for SSLC or OSLC public examination; those with qualifying age of 14.5 as on April 1, 2008 with a pass in Standard VIII with English through a recognised school; those without a pass in Standard VIII but a pass in the Standard VIII conducted by the Education Department and the qualifying age of 14.5, are eligible to apply for the SSLC examination.
Examination fee
The examination fee for SSLC or OSLC examination is Rs.125. For each subject, it will be Rs.135 for Matriculation examination and Rs.85 for Anglo-Indian School Leaving Certificate public examination.
Students, including direct private candidates, should affix their passport sized photographs, duly attested by the school head, on the application and hall-ticket.
Those who had appeared for the public examination should enclose a photostat copy of the mark-sheet and transfer certificate duly attested by the Head of the school.
Candidates should fill in the name and date of birth in the application, as specified in the mark-sheet and transfer certificate.
Any corrigendum in the mark-sheet issued after the examination will not be entertained.
The release also said that the examination fee paid prior to Decemb 10 or after December 20 will not be accepted. The applications for SSLC, OSLC, Matriculation and Anglo-Indian School Leaving Certificate examinations should be submitted at the office of the Regional Deputy Director of Government Examinations, l-A, Arabic College Road, Khaja Nagar, Tiruchi - 620 020, on or before December 20, the release added.
