Three killed in accident

MANGLED REMAINS: The omni bus which was involved in an accident at Vetrillai thottam near Bargur on Monday.

Krishnagiri: Three persons were killed and four others seriously injured when a private omni bus in which they were travelling in collided with a container lorry at Vetrillai Thottam near Bargur in the wee hours of Monday. The victims were identified as Sriram (36) of Vishakapattinam, Tulika (28) wife of Pankaj Sharma of Bangalore and Anand Kumar (45) of Bangalore.

Police said the omni bus carrying 40 passengers was going from Chennai to Bangalore when it collided with a parked container lorry. Four others who were grievously injured were admitted to the Krishnagiri Government Hospital.

The Kandhikuppam police have registered a case. Further investigations are on.
