Journalist banned

Bangalore: The BCCI in a press release has stated that a journalist, reporting the third Test between India and Pakistan at the Chinnaswamy Stadium, has been banned with immediate effect from entering the press box or attending a press conference at any of the affiliated units of the Board.

The BCCI directive follows the journalist’s prank on the second day of the match, in which he misled the scorer to make an official announcement about Rahul Dravid wanting to talk to the media. The announcement led to needless speculation over Dravid’s career.
