Warning system at Thengaithittu

PUDUCHERRY: The Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services (INCOIS) in collaboration with the Pondicherry Multipurpose Social Service Society installed a digital display system at Thengaithittu on Tuesday.

The system can provide information about wave height, wind speed, ocean current, location about high density of fish and early warning on depression. The system is equipped with a siren and public address system , according to a release.

Director of INCOIS Shailesh Nayak inaugurated the facility .
