Lucknow: Former Lucknow University Student Union General Secretary and his associate were on Tuesday killed allegedly by a rival group over a dispute on bagging a contract. The incident took place in the wee hours when the former LUSU General Secretary Vinod Tripathi and his associate Gaurav Singh were passing through the Nehru Enclave locality here and were stopped by the rival group, police said. After exchange of heated words, the rival group allegedly opened fire at Vinod and Gaurav. Both of them died on the spot.
