Special trains to Dadar

Thiruvananthapuram: The Railway will run weekly special trains on the Dadar-Kochuveli-Dadar and the Dadar-Ernakulam-Dadar sectors in December and January to clear the heavy rush.

The 0167 Dadar-Kochuveli special will leave Dadar at 12.45 p.m. on Saturdays to arrive at Kochuveli at 8.30 p.m. the next day, a Southern Railway release said. In the return direction, the 0168 Kochuveli-Dadar special will leave Kochuveli at 12.45 p.m. on Mondays to reach Dadar the next day at 11.55 p.m.

The special train from Dadar will be on December 15, 22 and 29 and January 5 and 12. Those from Kochuveli will be on December 17 and 24 and January 7 and 14. It will have two AC 3-tiers, eight sleeper class, four second class and two luggage-cum-brake van coaches.

The 0165 Dadar-Ernakulam Junction special will leave Dadar at 12.45 p.m. on Wednesdays to arrive at Ernakulam Junction at 3.45 p.m. the next day. In the return direction, the 0166 Ernakulam Junction-Dadar special will leave Ernakulam Junction at 7.45 p.m. on Thursdays to reach Dadar the next day at 11.55 p.m. The 0167 and 0168 trains will stop at Kollam, Chengannur, Thiruvalla, Kottayam, Ernakulam Town, Aluva, Thrissur, Shoranur, Kuttipuram, Tirur, Kozhikode, Koyilandy, Vadakara, Mahe, Thalassery Kannur, Payannur, Kanhangad, Kasaragod, Kankanadi, Suratkal, Udupi, Kundapura, Bhatkal, Honnavar, Kumta, Angola, Karwar, Madgaon, Karmali, Thivim, Permen, Sawantwadi Road, Kudal, Kankavali, Ratnagiri, Chiplun, Roha, Panvel and Thane stations.

The 0165 and 0166 special trains will stop at all railway stations from Aluva where the 0167 and 0168 special trains halt.
